It’s time to announce the winner of the Creative Curriculum Comic superhero competition. We were inundated with entries to this year’s superhero competition. The team have spent many hours sifting through some amazing drawings, names and character back stories.
We were super impressed by every entry we received. The only shame is that we couldn’t announce more than 1 winner. But that is what we have done. So let’s not delay any further. The winner of the 2017 Creative Curriculum Comic superhero competition is, drum roll please…
Orrin Kuhl of Stepaside Primary School for the fantastic superhero Nano!
Nano is a superhero who can create many small versions of himself to fight crime and defeat the villainous Sizzler. Nano gained this power from entering a video game he had created by accident.
Although one winner was announced, we were so impressed with everyone that we decided to announce a 2nd and 3rd place. This year, the 2nd place winner was Natra by Julia from St Mary’s in Morecambe. The 3rd place winner was Sock Man by Phoenix from Waterfoot Primary School.
Natra has the power of the elements and can use them to her gain in fighting Icer, the man of ice and snow. Whilst Sock Man shoots electric socks in a bid to defeat Clown Boy.
The hundreds of other entries could not be ignored, so we will feature some of them on a poster draw by former Marvel and DC comic artist Tim Perkins. This poster will be presented to every school that entered. In addition to this, every entrant will receive a certificate for their amazing efforts.
Thank you all for entering. We intend to run this competition again at Christmas as well as this time next year, so watch this space. See below for the full details of the winners and prizes.
